It all started on a 10,000+ mile roadtrip across Canada and the USA in late November, early December 2000. It was about 2 in the morning, somewhere between Livingston, Montana and Spearfish, South Dakota. Dave and I were hopelessly lost, and the blizzard was closing in fast. Where could we camp? How would we build a fire to ward off hypothermia? And what sightseeing could we look forward to the next day? In desperation, we fired up the wireless modem on Dave's laptop... but alas, the search engines could not point us to a website to save us. As the wind began to howl, we made a pact... if we survived, we would build a web based information clearing house for college students to get valuable information and resources concerning road travel and "roadtrips."

Okay, so maybe that's stretching it a bit. We were actually in Moab, UT... there was no blizzard... and we didn't have a wireless modem... nor a laptop computer, for that matter. But we did come up with the idea that has blossomed into the site you see today. We hope that you will find our information and advice valuable, and that you enjoy your visit!

Happy Cruisin'
